We have had a partnership with Giant (in Horsham) for a couple of years. They provide us with donations of food, bread, baked goods, and sides for our Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners. They are hosts for our annual Fill a Police Car Event. They have also done several fundraising efforts for which they collected thousands of dollars on our behalf.
31 Giant Stores were being acknowledged for their community involvement and the Horsham Giant was the only one in the local area receiving this recognition.
Today, we were asked to be at the Giant for a special presentation. We had no idea what to expect, but were thrilled beyond words to receive $5,000 for the SVdP Pantry.
We are grateful for our partnership with Giant and for the many blessings that we continue to receive.
Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Christmas Guardian Angel Program
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish is again sponsoring the Christmas Guardian Angel Program. The Guardian Angel Program matches families who are experiencing challenging times with families (Guardian Angels) who are willing to provide Christmas gifts to that family. This is a wonderful opportunity to manifest the true meaning of Christmas. Last year was a great success with over 116 families assisted through the generosity of Saint Catherine of Siena Parishioners and the Hatboro/Horsham Community. We are starting early this year so our Guardian Angels will have ample time to be assigned a family and have sufficient time to take advantage of sales before and after Thanksgiving. If your family, friends or work group are interested in becoming a Guardian Angel please respond to email@example.com with your intention and someone will be in touch with you all the pertinent details.
