Common Questions
How do I arrange a wedding?
Congratulations! In order to begin choosing a date for your wedding please contact our Pastor, Fr. Rymdeika, at the parish office 215-672-2881. Nothing can be scheduled until you speak with him. Plan on making contact at least 6 months in advance. All couples being married in the Catholic church are required to complete a Marriage Preparation class: Please log onto https://www.catholicmarriageprep.com/ to schedule your class at least six months prior to your wedding. Catholic Marriage Prep - Pre-Cana Online Catholic Marriage Preparation invites couples to a deeper relationship with each other and with Christ, one couple at a time. Online, on-demand instruction rooted in Saint John Paul II's Theology of the Body, combined with personalized mentoring from a trained married couple, builds a foundation for a strong, healthy, Christ-centered marriage between a man and a woman. www.catholicmarriageprep.com How do I get my child baptized? Baptisms are celebrated the first 3 Sundays of each month at 12:30pm. Please call the parish office for further details and plan to attend a Pre-Jordan class prior to your child's Baptism. The Pre-Jordan instruction is held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the parish office. I am an adult Catholic, but I have recently realized that I missed Confirmation somewhere along the way. Is this difficult to correct? The good news is that this is a fairly easy problem to rectify. Often times because of family relocation and moves associated with Confirmation being celebrated at different times depending on the location, you may have missed your Confirmation. Please reach out to the parish office and we will be happy to work with you. Confirmation is usually celebrated in the Fall and with proper instruction/preparation you may be able to make your Confirmation then. Please call the parish office for details. I am divorced and have never remarried. Am I able to receive communion? Absolutely. Those who are divorced are welcome to receive the Eucharist. Those who are divorced and remarried without an annulment are asked to abstain from Communion, but reach out to the parish office so we can help with regularizing your current marriage and return you to Communion. Please don't hesistate to contact the parish office with further inquiries. We were married in a civil service, but are interested in having our marriage "blessed" in the Church. How do we proceed? Please reach out to the parish office with all inquiries regarding having your marriage convalidated (blessing of the marriage). We will need some background information and you will be required to gather some documents such as baptismal certificates and marriage license. Overall, this is not a difficult process and please feel free to reach out to the parish office with any questions or concerns. How do I join the parish? If you would like to register, please call the Parish Office at 215-672-2881 for an appointment or visit the Parish Office during the following hours: Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM & 5:00 PM.
