Religious Education
In partnership with parents, the primary religious educators of their children, the parish staff and volunteer catechists seek to foster the faith formation of our parish children attending public schools. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Religion Curriculum Guidelines provide the direction for teaching the truths of our Faith and what they mean as we strive to communicate the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Even if your children have been away from religious education for a period of time we encourage you to contact us for more information. Our classes meet as follows:
Kindergarten through Sixth Grade Monday evening from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m and a Sunday morning session 9:55 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., September through May. Please let us know if your child has any special needs so we can work together to provide a good faith experience. Our Parish Religious Education Program also includes the Sacramental Preparation for First Penance, First Eucharist and Confirmation for all children of the parish. PREP catechists needed
As you know, we have our Parish Religious Education Program, or PREP, on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings. We are still in need of adults to serve as Catechists for the Sunday session. If you are able to do this, please contact Father (Pastor@stcatherineschurch.org) or Regina in the Religious Education Office (religioused@stcatherineschurch.org.)
